Well the storm hadn't finished when I last posted this arvo, it still had a little more to offer. These are the pictures I took from my front door. Neither of them has been enhanced and believe or not it was raining as well;
I've got mud and gunk everywhere inside; it's gunna take me days to clean it out

Hope the weather has improved now and that you didnt have any storm damage

It has improved, and I lost one garden shed, but other than that, and although I ended up with some water and mud inside it's not too bad.

Ah I have figured it out the strange colour is the colour of the soil where you live maybe and it is like a sandstorm?

Yeah, but the funny thing about it Mab, is rather than the dust hanging in the air, it was all in the clouds; I've never seen it like this before. And yeah, that's the colour of the soil around these parts

Seen it sort of like that in Egypt when there was a sandstorm but it was as you say in the air rather than in the clouds.

A couple across the road from me; born and bred and both in their 70's said they have never seen it like this before.
