Awful weather

It's damn awful outside today...

After such a beautiful weekend, I got up at 7 this morning to a developing hurricane. The winds got up to 95km an hour. It knocked one of my garden sheds completely over and I sure as hell wasn't going outside to fix it. It's in a tangled mess out there now, so I will take it to our local dump during the week.

The winds have settled down to 45 - 69kms an hour now, and the dust and rain clouds have all but disappeared. Needless to say, miss7 didn't go to school, and miss4 didn't go to the babysitters either. I was going to do the grocery shopping while they were both out today, but don't think I'm gunna do that either. Don't know what we are gunna eat for tea tonight though...

Oh, sorry to hear that. We had a bit of a rubbish day today--dreary cold and gray, but nothing like you had. Glad you're okay, but sorry to hear about the shed!

I once lost all my vinyl skirting from the bottom my trailer home that way. What a bother. Wind is nice in the hot, hot weather, but such a bother when it's blowing to hard.

  I hate the wind, it usually means nothing but trouble when it starts blowing around here. I'm more of a breeze type of person lol

Scarey weather, I have only experienced a couple of relatively mild hurricaines and hated them. Glad you are ok though.

It was a lovely day here yesterday for a change.

  We get them relatively often Mab; There is this big old scarey gum tree in a neighbours yard, that I'm just waiting to come crashing down on my house in one of these storms. I've tried talking to the guy that own the property this tree is on, but yeah, it's like talking to a 'stupid' brick wall

I have just got a message from a friend in Perth saying that he just put the bins out and it was 2 degrees! Your weather sounds awful though!

  Oh it's ok thanks jen; it didn't have anything in it... before box head left he was in the process of moving it to a different place, that's why I think it blew over. I still have another garden shed, and a great big shed still out there.

The wind can be dangerous and you were smart to stay home.
