It's been a long day...
The Show is in town this week (like a carnival with rides and show bags etc...) and as it is Saturday, we decided to go today. This entailed miss7 in a wheelchair (can't hop the complete circumference of the place on crutches), miss4, hormonal son and myself.
After a couple of hours of pushing through crowds, the exorbitant prices (lunch alone cost $35 for 2 plain chicken burgers, 2 dagwood dogs and 4 cokes) and lets not forget the bloody flies; hormonal son and I had had enough.
The girls scored well though with 2 show bags and assorted ric rac. And I did manage to get myself a brand new 'Guess' shoulder bag.
Well at least it's over and done with. Now I just have to live through the sugar high *sigh*

I always get outraged by the stupidly high prices that places charge for food when they have a captive audience. Any sort of theme park and motorway service stations are the worst criminals for this. I always try and take a bottle of water and sandwiches if I know I'll need feeding whilst out. I know that makes me sound tight, but I'd rather do that than pay those massively inflated prices.
