Anniversary of my dads death today, so I thought it would be nice if hubby, the girls and I went over to see my mum. While there we decided that we would go to the cemetery to clean my dads grave and put new flowers on it. For some reason the girls thought it was going to be some type of fun activity.

Anyway while hubby and the girls went to pay a visit to hubbys fathers grave and my mother walked around looking at the other graves I cleaned my dads grave with an icy bucket of water and just about froze my little fingers off (brrrrr, middle of winter here).  Oh well, it's done now and my dad would be happy with how shiny the marble came up. Feel like I've made restitution for all of the time I don't visit him.

Daughterly duty done I came home to complete housewifely duty of the washing. Oh well, got to watch a really good movie while folding the washing (I don't iron under any circumstances; you could threaten to pull my nails out with pliers, break all of my fingers or even make me watch episode after episode of Big Brother, I don't iron!).

The movie I watched while folding is called '1408'. It's about a rather jaded writer who likes to write horror and is currently working on a book about haunted hotels etc... He decides that he would like to stay at the Dolphin Hotel in the notorious room 1408. In the hotels 95 year history, 56 unexplained deaths have occurred in this room... And well if you want to know anymore your just gunna have to hire the movie for yourself. Let me warn you though; it's not for the faint of heart, and definitely don't let the kids watch it.
